Law Gyani
About this course

The Civil Procedure Code provides for all procedural matters for administering civil proceedings in India. It has been extensively amended, most recently in 2002, 2015 & 2018. The Code’s structure is different from most other laws. It has Part 1 (158 sections) covering general principles of jurisdiction; and Part 2 (1st Schedule, with 51 Orders & Rules) prescribing procedures & methods governing civil proceedings. This paper covers the Limitation Act (32 Sections & 137 Articles), with Articles further divided into 10 Parts. This Act’s main purpose is to prescribe time periods beyond which legal actions like filing suits, appeals, etc. are barred.
