About this course

This paper helps students understand this regulatory Act that deals with the formation, management, and other activities of Companies. In recent times, corporate governance has become a global megatrend. The Companies Act 1956 has given way to a new Act of 2013. Notified sections which replace provisions of the 1956 Act are highlighted. The paper aims to introduce to the students the nuance of corporate law and the obligations of corporate citizens. While some provisions have been updated and simplified, other provisions have tightened regulatory screws on companies, particularly public limited companies.
