About this course

The Indian Penal Code is the official criminal code of India. It is a comprehensive code intended to cover all substantive aspects of criminal law. It defines a wide variety of offences (i.e., misdoings for which the perpetrator stands to be personally punished). Broadly, crimes can be classified into offences against the Human Body, offences against Property and other General Offences.
