Labour Laws

3-Yr LL.B. - Mumbai University
Law Gyani
About this course

Labour law mediates the relationship between workers, employing entities, trade unions and the government. Collective labour law relates to the tripartite relationship between employee, employer and union(s). Individual labour law concerns employees' rights at work also through the contract for work. The relationship between employees represented by unions and employers has historically been prickly in India. However, there are well-entrenched principles of how negotiations between opposing groups can be conducted. These are discussed in the topic titled "Collective Bargaining".
